Location Sound Recording

Film Electrician

A film set can't run without power and light. In this course you will get to grips with using generators, running cables to the shooting locations, setting up various lights, monitoring electricity usage during shooting & operating lighting consoles.

Digital Imaging Technician

The course is designed to fully prepare a new DIT for all their duties including workflow, color management, LUTs, ACES, data management, dailies generation, and many other on-set tasks. We'll also be doing over how to build and charge for your kit.

This course provides you with a practical understanding of the film budgeting process, including how to use Movie Magic Budgeting. You will prepare an OK based movie-of-the-week budget using information that would typically be available during pre-production.

ON SET EXPERIENCE

These courses are intended for students who have not worked on a large number of studio movies and network TV shows. Even if you have attended other film schools or have worked on short films or indie features under $1.5M, we still require you to complete these entry level courses to move onto intermediate levels. If you are unsure if this applies to you, feel free to apply to your chosen course and our student support team will be able to advise.
